Age & Eligibility Guidelines

US Lacrosse establishes eligibility guidelines in order to promote the game of lacrosse among the youth of America in a safe and sportsmanlike environment. To best achieve this goal, US Lacrosse believes that leagues, associations, and other organizers of youth lacrosse should seek to provide playing opportunities that, as much as possible, establish a "level playing field" among players of similar age, size, and ability.

An exhilarating sport, lacrosse is fast-paced and full of action. Long sprints up and down the field with abrupt starts and stops, precision passes and dodges are routine in men's and women's lacrosse. Parent Code of Conduct

Our leagues adhere to the code of conduct for players, coaches and parents provide by US Lacrosse and Positive Coaching Alliance. All coaches and youth players (boys & girls) are required to become members of US Lacrosse. High school players are not required, but encouraged to become members.

We are an all volunteer association devoted to growing the youth lacrosse program in the Southern portion of Virginia Beach. South Beach is the fastest growing area in the Tidewater Chapter of U.S. Lacrosse, and has increased participation from under 35 players in 2006 to over 108 players during the Spring 2016 season.
